Fred Reifenberg discovered the St. Louis Camera Club web site including our photo gallery. Over a period of emails, it became apparent that Fred was a serious photographer and one who would be willing to share a few of his images.

Congratulations Fred for being the first non-club member to display his images on the web site.

Fred was born in Germany, and grew up during the Hitler period. He was lucky to have found the USA with the help of parents who had some foresight.

He grew up in New York City in the '40s, and shipped to Korea, during that conflict in 1951. After his military service, he finished college, and worked as a buyer in a department store.

Reifenberg spent most of his adult life raising his family and running a photocopying distributorship, in the 1960-72 period.

During a mid-life crisis, he decided to move the family to Israel, where he's worked and retired. Upon retirement he stumbled upon digital cameras, computers and the rest is history. Now he enjoys harmonizing with nature, and photographing nature in it's many wonderful forms. Also creating a variety of abstracts, combining photography and graphics. Thanks Fred for sharing your images with the St. Louis Camera Club and now the world.
