Ron Sheban Competition & Awards

This special competition was set up by Ron Sheban’s widow Janet in memory of Ron’s love for architecture and photography. The following rules shall apply:

1.      There shall be an annual “Ron Sheban Memorial Competition”.

2.      The competition shall be open to all members of the St. Louis Camera Club, without regard to what class the
         entrant is placed in for regular competitions.

3.      The theme of the competition shall be “Architectural Photography.” There shall be no limits with respect to the
         time or place the photo was taken. The person or persons judging the competition shall be the sole arbiter(s) of
         whether or not a given image fits within the theme.

4.      There shall be two competitions, one for projected images and one for prints (color or monochrome).  Members
         may enter both competitions.  Each of the two competitions will have a first, second and a third place award
         and two honorable mentions with prizes (defined in 5 below).

a.       Projected Images shall comply with the technical specifications that are in effect for regular competitions.

b.      Prints shall comply with the size specifications that are in effect for regular competitions, and may be
         toned, tinted or otherwise modified at the discretion of the maker.

5.      The prizes awarded shall be as follows:

NOTE: The member must be present at the judging to receive this cash prize.

6.      Competition points shall not be awarded for this competition. Images that have won points in regular
         competitions shall be eligible for this competition, and images that have received awards in this competition
         shall be eligible for points in regular competitions.
